Current research indicates that some students with learning disabilities may
interact inappropriately in social settings due to an inability to read these situations.
We will help parents understand the tools their children need to act appropriately,
respond to conflict, make friends and allies more easily, and to prevent becoming
the target of school bullies. Appropriate for parents of high school students.

This presentation will focus on children, elementary through preadolescence,
who struggle with learning disabilities. We will look at how children with various
learning styles interpret their world and their relationships. Concrete, very teachable
skills that can help children learn ways to interact more successfully and increase
their social confidence and status will be delineated. Helping your child manage
emotions in a way that supports successful interactions with peers will also be
covered. You will leave with a set of tools to help your child.
