Integers and Symmetry

Using current neuroscience discoveries that showed that symmetry plays a big role in how humans compare integers, Stanford education researchers developed strategies using these concepts to teach integers to fourth graders. They also discovered that accessing the visual symmetry parts of the brain could help students learn more complicated and advanced mathematical concepts as well.
