COURSE DESCRIPTION

We have had to rely on technology more than ever during the 2020-2021 school year. There are so many digital and online resources that have helped us keep our lessons alive during these challenging times, but sometimes the options can be overwhelming. Luckily, there are numerous free applications that the Google Suite offers to simplify our transition to remote and hybrid learning that will also translate well when in-person learning is once again our reality. Even though the Google Suite applications work hand in hand, Google Jamboard, an open format digital whiteboard, can find a way into every lesson so you can increase student engagement, promote collaborative group work, and seamlessly support activities connected in the Google Suite learning platform.

About the Instructor

Kyle Clark

Kyle primarily teaches a variety of writing classes along with a Film Literature class at Landmark High School. He also works heavily in the Residential Program as a Campus Coordinator and coaches the Boy’s Varsity Lacrosse team in the spring. In the summer, Kyle has remained connected to Landmark’s mission by assisting with the Skills¬†+ program, teaching a writing course for Landmark Outreach Online, adapted the grammar curriculum for remote learning through the Burke Award grant, and has helped to establish, as well as participated in, a pilot program for yearly teacher training seminars with local schools in Mozambique in 2017. Kyle holds a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont as well as a master’s degree from Simmons University.
