The content for the virtual section and in-person section is the same.
This one day seminar highlights specific strategies and scaffolding for teachers to enhance direct explicit instruction of students with language-based learning disabilities. It is a strategy heavy seminar with an array of supplied materials that are readily usable in any classroom. The strategies will focus on the areas of organizational skills (time & materials management), vocabulary development, and writing. The strategies provided can be used across a wide array of courses.

This course is appropriate for educators at the middle school level, but can be easily adapted for upper elementary levels.

Anna DiPerna is the Assistant Math Department Head at the Landmark Elementary•Middle School and a Math and Oral Expression/Literature teacher. Since starting with Landmark in 2002, she has taught math, language arts, and oral expression/literature classes. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Rice University and her Master of Science in special education from Simmons College.
