Allison Posey
Allison Posey is a Senior Instructional Designer at Learning Solutions and an international leader for Universal Design for Learning. She worked at CAST for 14 years, where she developed and led programs to apply UDL in schools, universities, and workforce settings. She supported research related to improving access to inquiry science.
Allison is passionate about improving instructional practices based on what we know about learning in the brain. She is the author of two books: Unlearning: Changing your beliefs and practices with UDL (2020) and Engage the Brain: How to design for learning that taps into the power of emotion (2018). She taught biology, psychology, and anatomy in high school and community colleges and still teaches courses at Lasell University. Allison earned a degree in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is an avid hiker and loves being a mom.
