This workshop will equip teachers with effective, game-based activities that support spelling instruction by going beyond traditional worksheets and tests. Participants will explore multisensory routines, strategies for fostering student independence, and ways to plan instruction for sustained spelling growth. The workshop will also highlight efficient ways to adapt or create activities that align with spelling goals and meet the needs of diverse learners.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Implement multi-sensory spelling routines/games including cueing and error-correction
- Foster student independence by structuring games according to a scope/sequence
- Create and adapt spelling activities efficiently using taught concepts and templates
- Differentiate instruction by adjusting supports and challenge within the same activities
