Our Webinars for Educators provide evidence-based teaching strategies, tools, and resources for students with language-based learning disabilities, which fall under the broad category of specific learning disabilities (SLD). Our free, monthly webinars will each feature a new and timely topic.

Webinar features:

  • Registration closes 15 minutes prior to the live presentation
  • 24 hours after the live webinar, all registrants will receive the link to view the on-demand recording and any presentation materials

9/26: Reading Fluency – the Critical but Often Neglected Goal of the Reading Curriculum with Dr. Timothy Rasinski

Dr. Rasinski will provide theoretical and research background and definition to fluency. He will share approaches to assessing and monitoring progress in this key aspects of reading. Finally, he will share effective and engaging strategies for teaching this all-important reading component that will move students toward better comprehension and greater proficiency in reading.


11/14: Introduction to Orthographic Mapping with Chase Collins & Natalia Harrison

You will be introduced to the process of orthographic mapping and presented with practical strategies for implementing it within the classroom. The webinar will include an explanation of where orthographic mapping fits within the science of reading and modeled lessons.


12/5: A Morphophonemic Approach to Decoding and Vocabulary with Meghan Sebens

This webinar will discuss the reasons behind the complexities of English and provide approaches to help your students develop word analysis skills.
