Webinar Description

Emotion and cognition are not separate, but inextricably linked. Executive function can be challenging for many students (and us!) and these skills are often also subsumed in emotions. In this interactive discussion, we will make connections between neuroscience and instructional design as we support executive functions in classrooms.

We’ll begin the conversation by reflecting on challenges we experience related to executive functions in classrooms. Then, we will highlight how to leverage strategies to support emotions and executive functions to support learning. We will workshop examples and continue to make connections between what we know about learning in the brain and our instructional strategies.
