During this 1-day workshop teachers will spend time discussing key contributors to the feeling of burnout, as unique to their own situations. Participants will also dive into myths and realities around the idea of “multitasking” while further discussing work habits that detract from optimal performance and focus.  Additionally, participants will explore different styles of workflow so that they may find the style that best suits both their individual preferences and work demands.  Lastly, participants will practice strategies that will help them increase work-life balance so they can be more efficient, while also savoring unproductive moments to recharge.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Identify aspects that drain individual energy
  • Gain awareness of how their downtime is currently spent, and learn how to make intentional choices regarding how to spend unproductive time
  • Discuss and implement the style of workflow that works best for their current professional expectations and personalities
