This 1-day workshop provides an overview of Landmark’s Six Teaching Principles™, offering practical hands-on applications tailored for middle and high school classrooms. Educators will explore how implementing these principles fosters student engagement and provides essential structure for success. Participants will learn a variety of strategies, tools, and resources to support students across various contexts. Dedicated time will be provided to adapt and apply these strategies to each participant’s content area(s). Additionally, the workshop delves into the relationship between Landmark’s Six Teaching Principles™ and the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, as both collaboratively enhance accessibility for students with disabilities. The objective of this 1-day workshop is to equip teachers with a diverse set of strategies, tools, and resources, empowering them to effectively implement the six principles for impactful instruction.

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Define Landmark’s Six Teaching Principles and explain these strategies
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to incorporate these techniques into your curriculum 
  • Adapt and apply learned strategies within your own curriculum 
  • Explore collaborative relationship between educational frameworks 
  • Discuss ideas and strategies essential to effective instruction

NOTE: Participants should bring a lesson or materials that they currently use/will use with students for application portions of the seminar.
